Haul: Ebay!

Hi ladies!

So, imagine my surprise when I see three (!) packages in the mail on Saturday! Ahh!! I had ordered more fimo sticks, and some nail wheels a little while back, and I had forgotten about them! Well, enough chit-chat, lookie!!

There are 10 nail wheels there, and I would just like to say, they are pretty flimsy. I feel like just by picking one up I'm going to snap a nail off! I expected something a little more durable.

Also I was a little disappointed in my fimo sticks. In the picture the seller shows there is a multitude of stick I had never seen! Like, a dragonfly, blue, pink, AND orange bows, sushi, and a RUBBER DUCK! In the pack I got, I got some fruit, flowers, and butterflies. Nothing new, except for a pink grapefruit rod I'm excited about. So, yea. Disappointed.

Not that I'm not grateful! I have big plans for these.. :) *insert evil/maniacal laugh* 'Til I polish again!

Storage.

So... A couple of you have been asking how I store my nail art supplies (stamping, fimo, rhinestones, ect...) and I thought I would show you! :)

I keep my stuff in a giant fishing-tackle-type box, and it works pretty well. Here it is!

My big box on the outside(: It has two clasps on the top that open to reveal...

Fimo rods, and rhinestones/bullion beads/sticker shapes...

Konad/Bundle Monster image plates, and the plate holder, scraper, and stamper...

My various topcoats, basecoats, an Konad Special Polishes...

 MORE rhinestones,/bullion beads/sticker shapes...

 Migi Nail Art Pens....

And in the bottom, I keep my cotton squares, acrylic nails, nail files, and nail polish remover(Zoya Remove+)

A shot of my nail brush, and files. :)

So there you go! My big-box-o-stuff! :) Oh! Don't forget, you can click on the pictures to make them bigger, and if you want me to do anything, just ask! :)

Tutorial: How To Cut Fimo Rods.

So I thought since I showed them to you guys, I should give some help on how to cut them, in case you wanted to buy some (Amazon!!) So, here is my how-to. :)

What You Need:

Shown Above: A cutting board; A utility knife; A placed to store your fimo stickers; Fimo Rods.

Step 1: Choose your rod. In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to cut a lemon, a heart, a flower and a feather, just so you can get a feel for how to cut the different shapes. Lemon first.

With the lemon-and other circle shapes- it doesn't matter how you position the rod. Just be careful.

Step 2: Cut the rod. Try to cut the rod as thin as possible. It makes them less likey to come off.

Step 3: Store your sticker! I put them in the container I showed you up there ^^

See? Pretty easy... Once you get the hang of it. :) Here is the heart:

You have to turn the heart upside down, so your shape is flat-side-down. It makes cutting easier. Then repeat steps 2-3. Flower:

It doesn't matter how you position the flowers either.. they're just a little bit trickier than cutting the circles. They tend to rolll away. Repeat steps 2-3. Feather:

What I do for the real thin, tiny rods-like this, and the bow-is I put them flat on their side, rather than try to stand them up. These I would say are the hardest to cut. I have a hard time cutting all the way through.... I get to the very bottom, and the knife just seems to stop. Anyway, repeat steps 2-3.

That's about it! I hope this helped!! :)

NOTD: Kawaii!!

This is the mani I did using my new fimo rods! It made me think of one word: Kawaii. Just look(:

This was:

China Glaze-Something Sweet (light pink); Sugar High (dark pink)
Konad Special Polish- White (dots)
Stripe Rite- Pink (dots on pinkie)

I used the bow, Hello Kitty, and pink flower rods for this. I cut 2 for each hand. I used the Bundle Monster plate BM19 plate, polka dots. I also added a small, pale pink rhinestone in each corner to take up some space. I love this mani. I seriously can't take my eyes off this! :) It makes me happy to look at! I'll be sure to do more fimo-manicures!! KAWAII!!

Fimo Nail Rods!

Hi all!

These came in the mail today! They are "Bundle Monster 100 PC 3D Designs Nail Art Nail Manicure Fimo Canes Sticks Rods Stickers Gel Tips". Woo! I am excited! :) Look at them!

They come in little sticks, and you have to cut them into disks with a VERY sharp blade. I used a utility knife. The set includes things like:
A watermelon slice,

 A rainbow flower,

 Butterflies,

A happy smiley faced heart, (!!!)

 A purple flower,
 Michael Jackson,
and a lemon slice!

Aren't they cute! I love these things! The only drawback is that you have to cut them. It's kinda hard. I plan to do many manis with these. :)
