Tutorial: How To Cut Fimo Rods.

So I thought since I showed them to you guys, I should give some help on how to cut them, in case you wanted to buy some (Amazon!!) So, here is my how-to. :)

What You Need:

Shown Above: A cutting board; A utility knife; A placed to store your fimo stickers; Fimo Rods.

Step 1: Choose your rod. In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to cut a lemon, a heart, a flower and a feather, just so you can get a feel for how to cut the different shapes. Lemon first.

With the lemon-and other circle shapes- it doesn't matter how you position the rod. Just be careful.

Step 2: Cut the rod. Try to cut the rod as thin as possible. It makes them less likey to come off.

Step 3: Store your sticker! I put them in the container I showed you up there ^^

See? Pretty easy... Once you get the hang of it. :) Here is the heart:

You have to turn the heart upside down, so your shape is flat-side-down. It makes cutting easier. Then repeat steps 2-3. Flower:

It doesn't matter how you position the flowers either.. they're just a little bit trickier than cutting the circles. They tend to rolll away. Repeat steps 2-3. Feather:

What I do for the real thin, tiny rods-like this, and the bow-is I put them flat on their side, rather than try to stand them up. These I would say are the hardest to cut. I have a hard time cutting all the way through.... I get to the very bottom, and the knife just seems to stop. Anyway, repeat steps 2-3.

That's about it! I hope this helped!! :)

NOTD: Kawaii!!

This is the mani I did using my new fimo rods! It made me think of one word: Kawaii. Just look(:

This was:

China Glaze-Something Sweet (light pink); Sugar High (dark pink)
Konad Special Polish- White (dots)
Stripe Rite- Pink (dots on pinkie)

I used the bow, Hello Kitty, and pink flower rods for this. I cut 2 for each hand. I used the Bundle Monster plate BM19 plate, polka dots. I also added a small, pale pink rhinestone in each corner to take up some space. I love this mani. I seriously can't take my eyes off this! :) It makes me happy to look at! I'll be sure to do more fimo-manicures!! KAWAII!!

Fimo Nail Rods!

Hi all!

These came in the mail today! They are "Bundle Monster 100 PC 3D Designs Nail Art Nail Manicure Fimo Canes Sticks Rods Stickers Gel Tips". Woo! I am excited! :) Look at them!

They come in little sticks, and you have to cut them into disks with a VERY sharp blade. I used a utility knife. The set includes things like:
A watermelon slice,

 A rainbow flower,

 Butterflies,

A happy smiley faced heart, (!!!)

 A purple flower,
 Michael Jackson,
and a lemon slice!

Aren't they cute! I love these things! The only drawback is that you have to cut them. It's kinda hard. I plan to do many manis with these. :)

NOTD: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: Speedy Sunburst and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure: Hidden Treasure!

Hey(:

Today's NOTD is one of the polishes I got in that "Surprise Haul"! I. Love. This. Polish. It is amazing. Just look:

Isn't it pretty?! Ahh! I love it. Speedy Sunburst is a pinky-coral color, and it is SUPER bright. Like *almost* neon bright. As close as you can get to neon, but not. Here it is layered under Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Hidden Treasure:

Look at all the pretty flakes!! Hidden Treasure is an opal flaky that flashes green, red, pink, orange, and yellow. :) It looks really pretty over this :)

Well, now I think I'm off to bed.

Surprise Haul! Thanks SO Much Ingrid!!!

Ahh!! I couldn't wait to show you these! My mom came home from yoga Wednesday with these and I was totally blown away! One of her friends told her that she got these as a gift, but they were a little bright for her, and she thought I could use them! How great is that?! Look at them!

Like my bathroom floor?? Lol.

Left to right: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri: Mint Sprint; Speedy Sunburst; Lively Lilac--THIS IS NOT COLOR ACCURATE. This is not a stark pastel purple. It is a dusty kind of greyed-out purple, with some shimmer. The second flash picture of this on my floor shows the color really well. Thought I should say something.; Instant Iris; Rapid Red

Left to Right: Sally Hansen Hard as Nails: No Chip Topcoat; The Look Sheer(?); Natural(?)
*The two with the (?) might have names, but I'm not sure if they're right.

Sorry for the blurry pic!
Left to Right: Nailene French Manicure: A sheer pink beige; A creamy white.
Neither of these had names! Or numbers... Sorry! :P

Left to Right: China Glaze: Zombie Zest ; Orange Knockout (Neon); Towel Boy Toy(Neon); Yellow Polka Dot Bikini (Neon); Mummy May I; Shocking Pink (Neon); Purple Panic (Neon); Turned Up Turquoise (Neon). Yep. Most of those are neon. Neons are extremely hard to capture in a picture. So is purple... It always comes out blue. Oh yea, and Mummy May I has pink/purple/magenta/fuchsia glitter. :) It is gorgeous. I will show that later.  :)

So... Yea I can NOT wait to try some of these! I'm really itching to see Speedy Sunburst, and Mint Sprint. :) I promise to post more often!!

NOTD: Nicloe by OPI- Me + Blue

This was Saturday and Sunday's Nail of the Day. I loved this color. It's from the new Justin Bieber One Less Lonely Girl Collection available at Walmart. It's a medium blue that is chock full of holographic glitter! :D It is amazing in sunlight. Sadly I didn't get pictures of that... :( It is a little bumpy though, but topcoat fixes that right up. Here she is, Me + Blue...
                                 Flash:
                               Indoor:
Honestly, what alerted me to the beauty of this polish was Scrangie's swatches. You can see them here.  She actually has sunlight pics! :) Oh, and don't forget you can click on the pics and make them bigger.

TOTD: Zoya- Astra

Toe of the Day, haha more like Toe of the Week! This color has been on for a really long time. But I love it too much to take it off. :)

Eww!! Toes! :P Anyway, back to the polish. Astra is a warm, reddish, rose pink glitter, and a lighter pink glitter in a deep magenta sheer base. Really unique! I don't have another like it! I quite like it. It wears well too! Kinda makes me think of Valentine's Day :)

I slept over at a friend's house last night, so naturally when I got home I slept for hours. I didn't get much done today. I had hoped to get in another post, but I don't think that's going to happen. :( I think I'm going to go and take a long hot shower. :) Practice some Mayzie! Goodnight!

Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lipstain- Wink of Pink

I purchased this the same day I got my new nails polishes from Sally's and Walmart. I got this from Walmart, and it really wasn't what I expected. I'm not disappointed, but I hoped it was something different. I'll show you why...

I saw this in the makeup aisle and I thought "Hey! Just what I've been looking for! A bright, happy, pink lipstain!"  Well, being me I couldn't wait to try it out, so I put it on as soon as I got home. I found this.

That is what you get when you actually open the tube. Yea... Not the pink I wanted. More like a deep, raspberry pink. Not that I don't like it, but... :( So, this is what it looks like once actually on lips... (Excuse the bad picture. Sorry!!)

Eek... My bad.... Sloppy, sloppy work Emily!! Anyway, application aside, it really is a pretty color. I quite like it on my skin tone. Which if you're wondering is about MAC, NC35.

The packaging is really nice, the cap just snaps on and off. Twisting doesn't really do anything. It's about $5.50 for 0.1 fluid ounces. So it's a little pricey.

The wear isn't that great. As you can see in the picture, it kind of creases, and doesn't stay on your lips for a very long time. It wouldn't be my all day lipstain. It would be more, 'quick trip to the mall'. If you want an all day lipstain, I would go for Stila Cosmetics Lip and Cheek Stain. I have Raspberry Crush, and it's about the same color as this, but it has some shimmer, and it wears MUCH better. I'll review that next. :)
