Hi all! :)
Today I am showing Essie- Knockout Pout from the summer 2010 collection. :) This is a nice, coral, pinky neon. :)
I love this color. :) Honestly, I think my bottle is faulty though because on all of the other blogs, I am seeing a bright, creamy neon pink, but mine looks more like coral! Not at all like I expected it. Also, the formula was horrible. This was five (!) coats of polish! FIVE! It didn't need it for opacity though, I needed it for everything to be evened out. It was streaky, and watery, and every time I would move my fingers, the polish would run and pool all over my cuticles. Needless to say I won't be using this again for a while. If I want a good neon pink, I will turn to one of my Color Clubs, or China Glazes, or Orlys. :) This is a neon so it does dry matte, so if you want it to be glossy, you'll need a topcoat. That will be all for today! But just for fun.. It matched my new blush (a random Physician's Formula btw.) perfectly!
Thanks for reading!

Swatch-arama: MAC: Viva Glam Gaga!
Hey :)
The reason I'm calling this a swatch-arama is because, this isn't really a review, more of a way for you guys to see this on me. :) Anyway, I'm kinda on a makeup kick right now, so I thought I'd show you some of my lipstick! This is the pink Viva Glam Gaga :)
^Tube
^Amazing Lady Gaga autograph :D
^Color in the tube
^Swatched on my lips, on primer, no gloss.
^Swatched on my hand, no primer or gloss. Natural lamp + flash
^Swatched on my hand, no prime, or gloss. Natural lamp, no flash.
Itsn't it pretty?! It's a little light on me, but I don't care! I wear this all the time. :) It's glossy all by itself, and it's quite pigmented. The only problem is it wears off as soon as you put it on basically! This is certainly not a longwear lipstick. I still love it! :)

Review: Lush: Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter!
Hi!
So, I've had this for awhile, and I finally got around to doing a review. I know, I know.. Let's get started!
This is what you see on the outside, so if you're looking for it, look for this-
This is what Lush says:
The product itself is more of a pale, pale yellow than a BRIGHT yellow as Lush shows on the website. I usually use VERY little of this, because I want to savor, and use as little as possible of it. It also smells more like lemony sugar, than the crisp, real lemon scent I was expecting.
This is it on my fingers at different intervals, to show how it absorbs-
^Immediately after application
^Immediately after application
^About 5-10 mins. after application.
Aaack!! Look away! It's the attack of the ugly, chipped polish (that wasn't so ugly when fresh applied! China Glaze Purple Panic, btw)! As you can see, it absorbs pretty quickly.
My review: I really like this. It absorbs fast, it smells nice, it's easy to use, and it's very moisturizing! I use this on all of my dry spots, elbows, knees, and feet in addition to cuticles! The packaging is nice too! I feel like Lush is a very personal brand. On the back of the pot, it tells you what batch this is, when it was made, and by who, and when it is good until. Observe:
Awesome right?! I love this stuff. :) And I'll leave you with the only this I don't like about this.. The price..
One pot of Lemony Flutter (1.5 oz.) costs $14.95 in stores and online.
:D

Close-up :) |
"Softens hard skin all over the body, especially the cuticles.
We made Lemony Flutter to soften your cuticles; it's our thickest cream out there. It's so good at softening your cuticles and nourishing your nails that LUSH customers have been using it to soften and nourish lots of other body parts like their feet, elbows and knees.
Thick lemon cream.
Each batch contains twenty-two pounds of beeswax. A bee would have to fly around the globe 132 times to make that. Lemony Flutter is a slight inversion of our usual mix: it contains much more oil than water and is very heavy. Take more care of your extremities and invest a small sum in a Lemony pot.
Lemon
Lemons are excellent for brightening skin and softening rough areas."

Peacock Eyes!
Hey ladies, (and Skyler)!
So, I was having a creative moment, and thought I would do some crazy eye makeup! Plus, my friend told me I would be a peacock if I was an animal today, so it fits! Here is the look,:
This was: BH Cosmetics 120 Palette- Teal, Blue, White, Green, and Lavender
Make Up For Ever- Eyeshadow #92
Sephora- Eyeshadow Aspen Summit
Revlon- Liquid Eyeliner
Covergirl- Black Eyeliner
Hard Candy- Green Glitter Liner, Ammo
Maybelline- The Falsies Black Drama Mascara
Okay, I know the BH'es can be a little confusing, so here they are, with captions to tell where they are. :)
And, for thoroughness' sake, here is everything else!
Make Up For Ever #92, aka, the BEST purple eyeshadow EVER!! Applied dry to the crease.
Sephora Aspen Summit, applied over the blue in the inner corner. (Super hot white shimmer btw!)
Mascara, Covergirl, and Revlon liners, in that order from the top. Revlon was on the upper lashline,
Covergirl on my waterline.
Hard Candy Green Glitter Liner, applied to the lower lashine. I got this in a set with the glitter gel, in the color Ammo, so.. But I can't get over the packaging! Look at the holo!! ITS SO FREAKING COOL! :D Enlarge the pic, it's amazing.
Brushes I used, MAC 239, and a random Maybelline. Lol!
Closeup of the bristles.
Closeup of the labels.
And finally, the lips to match!
This was: NARS- Viva Las Vegas Lipstick
Maybelline-Shine Sensation Lip Gloss- Peach Sorbet
Palladio-Herbal Lip Gloss-Pink Pearl
All of the above, in order from bottom to top. :)
Hope you enjoyed! Let me know if you mind seeing makeup on a "Nail Blog". If you like it, I might keep doing these!
